Yeah right now we have Weiner, Knight, and Ruan pulling our wagons just to keep up with the demand this year. Can't wait for the KWs, they are supposed to be painted and stickered just like the Petes.

Plus don't forget the numerous owner ops that pull for us too. I think at the ECDC we have more of them than company drivers if you include MM owner ops too.

Been a couple weeks since I have posted last so I figured I would give an update. I am still just truckin along. Not much has happened here other than I got my 1 year of service plaque from Menards and I am now up to .32 a mile. Come September I will have 1.5 years of experience so that's kind of awesome.

We have been getting in a lot more "new to us" trailers which is really nice. Hopefully we can get rid of some of our really old trailers. I know we still have some swing door trailers that are as old or even older than me. Which is kind of pathetic that a multi billion dollar company can't buy new trailers lol. I can see why they don't want to though. Between having Weiner, Knight and the yardhorses yank around our trailers they get tore up real quick.

On a side note, Friday was my local day and I was at the Eau Claire West store and a knight driver went in ahead of me and went down the wrong alley to the docks and had to take a sharp turn around the rebar rack so he could turn around and get it so he could back into the dock. Well long story short he punctured his passenger side front trailer axle tire on some rebar. I was doing my drop and hook and was pulling the chocks out from my trailer when I noticed it. He had yet to notice it himself. So I went up to his door and told him about it so he could get roadside out to him while he was getting unloaded. Hopefully some good karma can get back to me someday.

I am also happy to announce that I have joined a gym and I am getting back in shape. There definitely are some perks to being home every day. Like the fact that one of the nice looking 2nd shift office gals goes and works out at the same time everyday :biggrin_255:

I hope everyone has been having a great and profitable summer. Before you know it old man winter will be here to play his tricks on your paycheck.

Saw two Knight's pulling 3-axle flatbeds empty yesterday on 494. Caught me by surprise but if I paid attention to your post more closely, I would have already known that! :biggrin_25523:

Still nothing yet on the new trucks. They originally said end of September beginning of October but it looks like it got pushed back to end of this month or November. Ruan already got all 10 of their trucks and started using them on Wednesday. Pretty typical for these gas trucks to have all kinds of problems when they are new.

I am definitely not looking forward to getting mine because I know we have plenty of problems with them too. It really is a toss up though because the rental truck they have me driving now is a 07 Shaker that burns oil and coolant, spits and sputters under acceleration, has a significant shimmy in the wheel, radio has about 15 mile range, cruise does not work, the wipers only work on high the interior is all tore up and the power outlet/cigarette lighter does not work. Making it probably the worst truck I have ever driven. Oh well I guess it's just temporary right?

For the last month I have not had a day driver because they cannot keep drivers here. It has been really nice and has increased my paycheck significantly. Sounds like that will all change by next week as they are training a new guy in this week.

Hope everyone is enjoying the nice fall weather we have been having.

So it sounds like the new trucks are up at the shop getting decals and tool boxes put on. Should start being put into service this week. From what it sounds like they are pretty nice and specd out better than the Petes. I will try to get a couple pictures when I get mine.

Big mile day for tomorrow. I have a Red Wing van and an Alexandria van. Should be between 590-600 miles. As of the past 2 months I have been running about 2500 miles a week or more. It sure has been busy.

And I for got to add that all those miles are in 5 days or less with the exception of last week. I worked 6 days last week and grossed $1375. I'm not complaining.

Had a load at one of your stores and there was a new Ruan truck there. Sounds like you could do the same as you are now only in their truck and more money ?? He even claimed that they are to be unloaded even before you ??
