So the new trucks have come in and boy are they nice! 2015s with quite a few options. I am actually really, really impressed. I will be in truck 9625 if anyone spots me rolling down I-94.

So things have been slowing down a bit here now. Still making a decent paycheck, just bummed that I can't work as much as I was. They gave us 4 days off next week for Christmas(3 for everyone, 1 of my regular days off). Then we have New Years Eve and Day off so I am trying to prepare for some short paychecks coming in the new year.

The new truck has been pretty good. We already have almost 30k on it and it has already had a service dont on it at 20k. The fuel mileage is not too bad on them. I have on multiple occasions, been able to get 440 miles out of a tank. Came back from Willmar, MN on Friday and had 400 psi left in the tank. The last 40 miles the fuel gauge was on E lol.

We are all glad to have the 1-5 restart rule removed. Now guys on the day side that want to work 6 days a week will no longer have to wait to start at 5 am. And now I won't have to worry about being done by 1 on Saturday morning.

Yeah we always fuel in Baldwin or out in St. Micheal. We have no real need for the one in Eagan. We are supposed to fuel at the DC only unless absolutely necessary.

 

They are giving us New Years Eve and Day off this week. I am trying to take a vacation day on Friday so I can have a nice 5 day weekend after this last 4 day weekend. Paychecks are not going to be too bad though. They should each be $800 for only working 3 days on each one. I can handle that!

 

Got some really awesome news today. Starting 02-01-2015 everyone gets a .04/mile raise. I will also be getting my next regular raise the same time of .005 so now I will be at .365 and .485 on Sundays paid off the hub. I also completed the yearly safety bonus which will be all my hub miles for the year at .04. Things are starting to improve around here.

 

Yeah definitely going to be a lot easier for sure. A few more things they could change and they would have people tripping over themselves to get in the door.
