    He is a great guy by the way so hopefully it all works out even though I won't do containers when I am solo.

    I forgot to add as a port driver you will also haul van loads. Sometimes more than containers but will always end up in southern California

    It actually may be a better experience for you since you can learn another aspect of trucking. I don't do ports I do railroad but the containers and chassis are the same. There are some tricks to learn to save you time. Always good to know if something comes up later in your career. Sounds like you're getting the miles so far, stay safe.
