Ya that's not cool. That would be the last loaf i pulled for them. Tho corporate is right about one thing. Good agents are very hard to find. And all ya gotta do is look in the 'ask an owner operator' section and see the literally hundreds of "i just bought a truck now what" threads to see just how true that owner operators are a dime a dozen statement is. You and i might not like it, but its the truth.

Totally agree. I have always been lucky being a o/o apparently, have either pulled for honest brokers or small carriers who you never had to question there word.I am approved through Mercer recruiter said just let them know when I want to start. I just wish they had more oversize work. Just me personally I like the challenge of pulling it.

We don't have a lot of od work. But there is enough to do one once in a while for a nice change of pace.

im curious how much deadhead you are getting at Mercer. I looked at the Mercer loadboard on their website and Texas freight seemed scattered. AZ was nill.

Those are only the loads they are trying broker out. What spyder and the other o/o's see is a whole lot more. Least, when their load board is working...

so does Mercer have an app for the phone or do they O/O's have to log onto the board? I read something somewhere about an app but not sure what thread it was in.

There is an app. But it is used for other things. The board is very mobile friendly. Well its usable. Ok, it's usable except for when you really need it. Did i mention that I'm not a fan of our new load board?

Seriously tho, most of the time it works fine. Just seems when i really need it, it's down for some reason or another.

Also it requires a fairly solid data signal. IT nitwits must think drivers have a cable modem attached to their truck.

Waiting to get unloaded out in the sticks with poor reception? Good luck using that idle time looking for your next load.
