Mercer Transportation left hundreds of us drivers stranded.

There is no lease purchase for tractors here. I'm not sure I understand what you are trying to say? Or are you just talking out your rear? Have you ever been here?

I can also add that I Would be Miserable knowing I was strengthening the foundation of ANOTHER carriers customer base....

Just that alone should Make these owner-ops stray away- But,Since most only know how to drive them- They don't want to learn new things.

Mercer,Landstar,And all of these other major carrier/brokers will never get my truck to move THEIR freight- You get no reward other than a mere 70-80% of what their customer pays...

Long story short- It should Bother independents0owner-ops that have to move OTHER peoples freight.

 

I can understand this post. And it's great to know that we live in a place where all are allowed to make there own choices about who to hual for and who not to hual for. Sounds like you have managed to secure your own customers, good job.

 

It wasn't always like that for me though......When I first started with my authority- It did just what others do- Move freight for Other carriers customers- It did nothing but Pizz me Off- No Reward whatsoever!!

Ok,I got paid a mere 80%.....But I wasn't recognized by the Customer(Which to me is more important than $$$ can buy)..For my work. Got old way too fast . In a way, I look at it as being "Used"

I still use Brokers on occasion- But they are Mere Brokers Without Assets (Trucks,trailers etc)

And I try to keep that down to under 10% of all my moves
