I OWN my equipment and I don't buy equipment from the company that supplies me with the freight that I pull.
If you were a "Top Producer" at Mercer and had a decent saftey record and "No Problems", Why would they send you down the road?
I'm not perfect....But I have managed to keep my #### straight in this industry for 38 years by doing the work as well as possible, Not being late, Not getting tickets, Not having accidents, Freight claims and personality conflicts with the people that I get my loads from!

Every single contractor that has been sent down the road claims that they never did anything wrong....Really?

    Then why are you gone?

Diesel Dave and Eskimo6804 Thank this.

So....With a perfect saftey record, Well maintained equipment, and NO legal issues at all, Where will we be going?
I keep seeing this posted here that all of the experienced drivers are going to mysteriously dissappear and be weeded out by some mysterious force...I don't buy it!

The fact is...If you keep your act straight and perform with a little bit of responsibility for your business, You'll be fine!
The "cowboy days" are over and those that don't understand that will probably go away but it won't have anything to do with your experience level...It'll have a lot to do with your ability to adapt to an ever changing environment.

    Diesel Dave Thanks this.

I never beeen late. Nevr refuse any loads. alway maximize my opportunity in the trucking industry. Try to learn new things all the time. I will never claim i the top, but can do an equal job as the next driver. Maybe they can dock in once shoot, maybe i have to do it 6/10 times i will dock it safely. I just feel bad for all company(not just Mercer) treating their driver wrong. God bless you if u on top of your game and hope you continue to do so.

Perhaps it just has something to do with seeing Mercer's name every time I refresh?
