I have AT&T and don't have nuch of a problem... anywhere in the USA and Canada.. (Though international rates are <whew> up there!)

Kansas isn't a "hotbed of freight for flats / steps anyhow.. Why would you wanna go there? You "try" and stay in profitable areas, and if I was going to KS for instance, I would have to factor in me deadheading to either Kansas City, Denver, or somewhere .. You'd have to make enough going in to justify taking a load into a potentialy dead area... (The KC side of KS isn't bad..)

Buddy of mine has turned down loads and he seldom sits. He called me today and said yesterday he was in TX and was on the board. He said he took a local run and made 100 bucks while he was waiting. Said if you do that you don't get bumped off the board while you are waiting on a decent load.

I am going to mercer monday. I have a laptop and plan to look to see what is available. I have a buddy of mine that does not have a laptop, just a cell. He is more than happy with mercer. He has been doing real well with them.

That's a nice looking W900! I also like the way that Deluxe looks... Almost like they are color coordinated together.

I'm leasing my 379 onto Mercer next week. I go for orientation Monday & Tuesday. Hoping to hit the door running with some freight soon after the orientation is completed.

I did. Things happen... They was going to put me in a box till a flat opened. I decided to go with tandem. I also had a interview for a local. The interview went well, but I was leaning towards tandem Then my phone rang. Guy leased to mercer had a flat open. He has 3 flats at mercer and 1 box. plus 6 trucks at ryder. The plot thickened...

Oddly enough I know the other 2 guys at mercer. All 3 of us were at maverick at the same time and have run together.

Thanks for the compliments! Hubby's much deserved toy was that Deluxe. He's hoping to modify the KW so that he can take it out with him. Hoping you find your new "home" with Mercer. You get your good days and your bad; be we don't foresee ever leaving. Good luck to you on your new venture!!

Boy has this thread picked up since my last post in Jan....there is NO SUCH THING as forced dispatch at Mercer! the reason it can be hard to get home is like someone said how the freight is moving......Comming home empty for us is suicide and may take 2-4 days to get out of here. Mercer tried to not have cheap freight. If you see somthing cheap on our private load board it will proabably be a CBD load.

dang Gonzo be careful or they are gonna pull you in off the road and make you work in that building with all the glass out front over by the drivers lot....lol

Down in Louisvile there are several fenced in lots with security cameras and automatic gates. these areas are where the drivers park while in the area.

whatever you want to know just ask one of us here that are leased we will tell you exactely how it is.......
