I have a 2002 Freightliner with a 10 speed meritor transmission. I use it on my farm but it will not go to high range. I changed out the gear knob selector but didn’t help.

I had it happen on my 10 speed before. I had an electronic actuated model. The insulation on the wire to the electronic box at the rear of the transmission had rubbed thru , and the ground wire was touching the tranny

Thanks. Are you talking about where the wires are connected to the two solenoids at back of the transmission.

I remember it being 1 harness of 2 wires (if I remember correctly-this was in 2013). But yes, it it was connected to a solenoid. But Only remember 1 solenoid. It was a black box about 4" x 4" x 2". I kept a spare, and it paid off another time, as it went out. A mechanic did my work, so my memory is very faded.
