So i want to change out my fluid on my diff/power divider. Looks similar to the pic below.

    Diff. with tandem power divider

My question is where to add and check the level. I called meritor and they said the normal fill line at the diff cover.

I was just surprised that the amount of fluid for this would be the same as the rear diff that is only the diff. I was expecting to have a fill/check location higher up on the power divider or a separate hosing of fluid on the power divider to also drain and check.

Is this correct? Check it same location and fill amount for front and rear diffs with or without the power divider?

The check plug will be at the same level in the housing front to rear. Should be even with the fill hole cold. The front diff with the power divider will hold more fluid than the rear by about a gallon typically.
