There is a truck I am looking at buying. It has a rockwell transmission, which I do not want. Can I pull it off and install an Eaton Fuller transmission with no issues or is there conversion work to be done?

Be a whole lot simpler to find a rig that already has an Eaton-Fuller, then swapping out a Rockwell.

They should swap out. may have to change shift lever, yoke, clutch linkage on trans, or driveshaft length. everything else should bolt in place. its not a hard swap.

Reviving this thread. 1998 FLD120. Has a Meritor 10 speed. Want to replace with Eaton Fuller 10 speed. Some say it will bolt right up and others say some parts need swapped. Any new info would be appreciated.

Wonder if I call Eaton and give them the Meritor numbers if they can help?

Also, anybody have a trusted Eaton Fuller supplier?

Call them, they have an engineering group that can tell you what is what.

the problem is getting someone to get you transferred there.

    JoeyJunk Thanks this.

Hello Joey! Just reviving this thread. I recently purchased a Mack CH 613 and wanted to swap out the Rockwell 10 speed to an Eaton fuller but I am not sure if it will work. Just wanted to know if you had any luck finding any information?

I took it in to the shop and they found a tag under all the built up grease. It already had the swap. Just needed a rebuilt shift tower and a few other small things. The dash tag and shifter were still Rockwell. With the way it was shifting I assumed it was a Rockwell.
