There are tons of steel building manufacturers out there. Morton Buildings, Mueller, are 2 bigger ones. But there are small local companies as well. You can get bolt together and weld together, which are usually built to spec on site. All of them can be built and spec'd to any size or height you want.

My previous occupation has made me able to do everything from the site work/land clearing to the foundation to building the buildings. 2 guys and 10 days can get a 2k sq ft or smaller building up. 3 or 4 guys makes it even faster.

Also, Ive got a friend in Tucson that is an excellent realtor who can help you with any questions when it comes to buying land.

    D. Tibbitt, I built my own at home with no real building/construction experience. I went with one called Outback buildings that is a galvanized bolt together frame but not a thin cheap POS like the quickie carports you see around. It's a lot beefier C channel and rectangular box steel construction. It's only 24x36' with a 10' center door so I can't put my tractor more than halfway in it but I plan to buy some land and build a 40x80 version of the same one within a few years.

Not sure what prices are where you are but excavation and concrete were my biggest expenses. The building itself was only around $10k but I was in 20k with 100 amp electric for 2 post lift, welder and power enough to run air conditioning too.

Build it bigger than you think. If you have tractors/equipment or play with cars it will fill up fast.

It's all about options, nothing more

Will the op add a heated floor, 4 walls and doors, a cooling system, electric, tools etc etc etc. Could be a getaway too, home away from home, it's up to the op on the expense.
