That's true, but I don't really see him doing anything to stop it, or any of the others for that matter.

 

Just a thought after reading those articles and reading about tariffs on 99 products. Hmm just maybe double the size of security and put pressure on your there number one export.

Im sure the powers that would be; would get those tariffs removed sooner... lol

 

Once upon a time, we slapped tariffs on Japanese cars. Toyota and Honda have plants in the states and now they are "American Made", while American vehicles sport "Hecho en Mexico" tags.

Walmart used to sell American products. Now it's Chinese, Indonesia, etc. Those products are shipped to Mexico to avoid the fees and hassle in CA ports. Warren Buffett and BNSF are making a killing.

No way in Hell, American drivers will go to Mexico. I've watched Canucks going the wrong direction, while leaving CA. Customs used to confiscate cheap drugs imported from Canada. I don't think we, the people, benefit from NAFTA, at all. Shippers will save money using Mexican drivers and it will ultimately drive down freight prices even more.

I think the time has come to tax ALL imports.

Are we still paying for the EOBR's on the Mexican trucks? That was supposed to come out of the highway fund, so we would have to pay for Mexican trucks to meet the requirements, while we also pay our own way.
