I have a good one too. My coluums are color coded. :biggrin_25526: It sounds like there are plenty of offers already.

YouTube has plenty of tutorials that walk you through it. I learned alot of Photoshop watching YouTube. Play, pause, do, play, pause, do..... :)

You can learn alot of software on there. Excel basics are easy. My ex taught me the simple stuff in about an hour. You don't need to learn the harder stuff.

Spreadsheet software like Excel or Open Office (which I use) includes lots of help files and aids in creating spreads. It is not rocket science. I am not any computer specialist by any means, yet I could easily created multi layered spreads that link with other spreadsheet so I can keep load data, expense data, and calculate on a running basis the estimated taxes. You can use a simple sheet or have sheets reference each other and spreads that are in different files. It is not hard to set up something that does exactly what you want to do. Spread sheet software just seems intimidating. Just think of a large ledger book and keeping rows and columns on the various pages.

Yeah, making one for a company driver would be a lot less complex than one for an OO. Designing the layout is easy, it's imputing the formulas that gets tricky. Microsoft Word was one of the classes I had to take in order to get my Associates Degree in Criminal Justice. I know the basics, or enough to accomplish what I need, but I'm no expert.

Mine are color coded too, LOL. I spend a lot of my off time, waiting at shippers, or what not learning different things the way you mentioned. The best way to learn is by doing. Youtube, and Google can really come in handy when you need to learn something. I just wish I had the desire to learn back when I was a teenager, the way I do now.

when I taught "Computer Applications for Tech and Engineers", we actually used the "MS Office for Dummies" book for the text book. This was a 300 level college course for juniors and seniors.

Here's one if anyone wants it.
    Just PM me your addy.
It totals weekly, quarterly and yearly.
I continued the header categories so you don't lose track as you scroll.

if you use the freeze or split command on the "VIEW" tab,

You can freeze the top line so that it remains without having to put all those extra headers in for it.

You can also set it when you print to repeat those rows at the top of every page as page headers for the tables.

    CondoCruiser Thanks this.

So what do you put in for values on rows and coluums to repeat?

    A:Y

    1:412

    Something like that??

Or just fill in the print area A2:Y412??

    Thanks for the tip.

    yeah, something like that.

It would actually be 1:1 for the header row though

    if you use split....
Preselect the TOP LEFT most cell you want to move. Then click "Freeze Pane". The stuff above and to the left will not change when you scroll, just the stuff on the lower right.

    CondoCruiser Thanks this.

This is good advise as I have been looking for what to actually put into the columns on a spread sheet. My hubby is newly O/O and besides loads, feul, tolls, meals, etc. I'm not sure what all to label the columns or how many. We just purchased Quickbooks Pro and I need to learn what to do with that too. I'm not new to computers or programs but seem to draw a blank when it comes to this stuff lol.
