I see you haven't been on this forum long. If you stick around long enough you will find out that there are certain people that you let their comments slide. An old man told me a long time ago to never pay attention to s..t unless you step in it.

 

Very unforunate read. Obviously, scammer company that gyped you big time. But what can you do?

Expose the company via Google, Indeed etc. Comments as an Owner Operator leased onto them. It works more than most people think. As much as I lost some money I did recover some back from the scam company because eventually they lose more when they can't find more O/o to lease onto to them again. Yes, it will take time so never stay dormant with your business. Keep making money elsewhere in the mean time. Be relentless.

It's good that they have forums like this so that other owner operators can beware of pirates like this company! I was just looking at their ad on craigslist in Delaware? Maybe a BBB and Attorney General complaint could get some resolve

 

It sounds like the office staff or dispatch had their heads up their arses and sent you on a wild goose chase with nothing to show for it except the time wasted and money they owed you. When they realized what an absolute debacle they created for nothing, they forgot about it, and went home to their families. They tried to cover it up later to hide their own incompetence from the management who would probably want to know the truth if they found out.
Unfortunately, this type of failure is all to common in the world today.

 

I hope you win! Also, Thank you! For reporting a scumbag company! The first time I saw a Mid Group ad on Craigslist, they were claiming to be headquartered at; 2005 Valparaiso St Ste 118, Valparaiso, IN 46383. At the time I looked up that address and there was another company located there.
Their add now (Link below) still claims to be the best paying company... but in the pictures it's showing MC-1260997, (Safer says inactive??) At address; 2030 LaGrange Road, La Grange, IL, It's a gas station.
When I google MC-1260997, it leads me to Safer, showing active MC-1226033, Mid Group Inc @ 257 REGENCY RIDGE DR STE C, DAYTON, OH 45459. Searching that address doesn't show they're at that location either. I asked FMCSA if DOT investigated this company or their listed addresses? or the name Mid Group Inc? As I'm concerned they're scammers. The company seems to be moving locations, but the name remains the same. I sent the inquiry to FMCSA before I found this blog. When FMCSA responds, I will post their response here. It may have some info to help your lawsuit. I also saved the below link incase they delete it. If the ad you responded to is still up you should print the link to .pdf on you computer. It may have some useful info for your lawsuit. Best!!!

BTW. You might want to reach out to FMCSA to report Mid Group's failure to pay for trucking services rendered. Get Mid Group's Bond holder's contact info from FMCSA. File a claim with/against their bond. Their bond holder will get ahold of them to find out why you haven't been paid. From what I've heard, when your bond company contacts you they usually threaten to revoke your bond! Good luck getting another bond company to hold your bond once your bond has been revoked. The bond company has to make you whole. You should use Mid Group's ad's to figure a mileage rate because they're refusing to do so., to figure what they owe you total (the load you did plus all the deadhead and layover.) Mid Group might pay you to make sure their bond holder is happy! So the link below says " ✔️ Weekly Gross 10k & Up", at the lowest "10k", and max 70 hours week, 10k x 70 mph = 4900 miles max. That would be ridiculous miles in a week so 10K divided by 4900 would be lowest possible rate of $2.04 a mile. If the load you agreed to is a lower rate then, you could ask for that rate per mile sighting it's Mid Group's lowest advertised rate. All your deadhead and a cheap layover rate is $200. Best!!

So I looked up MC-1226033, Mid Group Inc's latest active MC#, on the link to "To view public licensing and insurance information". It shows Mid Group Inc does not have a bond???? You should contact the FMCSA, File a complaint for the none payment. And ask them why Mid Group does not have a bond? I was forced to get a bond by the FMCSA in order to get my MC! I would file a complaint with the Federal Trades Commission as well. I had an issue with an online purchase. The Store's Website's listed address wasn't at the location they claimed to be located at. I contacted the FTC. Same day I received a message from the FTC that they were investigating my claims. The next day I went to the store website and it was down!
Let the FTC know they're not at the addresses listed and they ripped you off! Also contact the Ohio state Attorney General's office. You will get a fast reply from them!
Seems the FMCSA is not doing their job with this company not having a bond. I hate scumbags like this ripping drivers off! Anyway, again thank you for posting this Mid Group Inc. Helping us all! Best
