Has anyone gone through their program? How was your experience there? Did they assist you with finding a job once you finished? Was it difficult to find a good company to hire you?

I wouldn't stress how great any trucking school is. They are just there to take your money and teach you the basics. You are going to learn more from your trainer on day one than you did the whole time in school. As for finding a job, I definitely would not take any schools suggestions. They get paid by the big companies to send you to them. If you want to work for swift or werner or england don't worry, as long as you pay your school tuition you have a job with those guys. (and your record is halfway decent) If you want real trucking job you are going to have to spend time doing your homework. The companies that aren't advertising are the ones with low driver turnover rate which in turn means their drivers are happier there and making money. You have to put forth the extra effort for the good jobs. If not just listen to the recruiters and follow the herd. Until then welcome to the forum and good luck to you.

I just graduated there, they are top of the line, very professional and friendly but down to business, Mr barfield is the head honcho, pretty cool...Mr Reid is one of a kind...he will talk you to death when you first get under the wheel but most students want him in there truck...Smith and Baird are great....every company I apllied to called back...
