I am perplexed at how such a large company draws NO responses in such a debated and heated topic of leasing trucks with companies. I would have more then expected that I would get some bad reports. It would be nice to hear from drivers period, but just he fact of so many SNI Lease trucks on the road, I would think I would have got a comment at least. Does this mean no news is good news in an online world of open season on the companies? Or is it that this program is working?
So that brings me to this question. What makes MCT tick? How can a company comprised of ONLY leased trucks grow to 900 trucks if their program does not work? If its not fair? I also fail to see any real negative comments about this company. I have worked for a sister company and had no complaints. So, how can this company that leases trucks (like everyone else) have single lease trucks turn into 30-60-even 70 truck companies leased onto MCT? What is working there? Is it the real deal? Can a guy get a start as an O/O at MCT? or SNI? Or am I missing something?
Ever searching for the Holy Grail (a company with a fleece program for us low credit guys that works).

Your inaccuracy is in regards to their "Lease Purchase" program. This is a very NEW program to MCT. They only started doing a LP program within the last year. Prior to that, they were one of the 100% o/o companies where you were on your own in regards to truck acquisition.
I still have many friends at MCT both in the offices and fleet owners/owner ops leased to them. If you ask any of the o/o's they will tell you that the reason MCT is doing l/p now is because they have lost a bunch of o/o since WSE bought out MCT. Back when MCT was a stand alone company(up until 1998 or so) they were great. They had 1200 trucks at one point. Then WSE came in and gradually started changing things for the worse and they were steadily losing o/o. They dropped all the way to around 650 trucks at one point. So you see, it is in my opinion the fault of WSE that a formerly great company, full of rich traditions(since 1949) has fallen to the level of implementing a lp plan.
I'm sorry that I can't tell you any details on the LP plan. I only know the company and thought you might want the true facts from "the inside". -

Wendell Wood is a fleet owner(one of the biggest at MCT) based in Wauseon,OH. I can tell you that Mr. Wood was always a stand-up guy and a decent man inthe few dealings I had with him. These were limited to the annual MCT fleet owner meetings at the main office is Sioux Falls. As for working conditions and such; I couldn't give you any fact based info, as I never dealt with him in that capacity. The true fact of the matter is; There is only one fleet owner at MCT that I would tell anyone to stay away from, and Wood is not that fleet. -

wc5b...i know its been almost 4yrs.since last post.but i applied to mct and wood trucking is the closest fleet to me,so i was wondering if you took the job and how it worked out?
