The wind is gusting in excess of 70 mph in some areas near El Paso.

I-70, both East and Westbound lanes are closed from Salina (I-335) to Hays, Ks.

I-35 from Wichita to Kansas City could get interesting this evening. More snow moving in. I-35 runs through the area projected to have 12-15" of snow accumulation. I live only 4 miles South of I-35 mm 162, and we already have about 8" +. Hard to tell with the drifting. More snow is on the way..

This storm has the potential to very dangerous to be out in. It hasn't started here yet, but I'm glad that I'm home.

No kidding. Both our trucks are sitting at home plugged in my pickups parked and the car aint going anywhere. Last report i heard at noon said 14" tops and 10" minimum at my place. And god forbid we start running the salt shakers to stay on top of things there already been 3 wrecks today. And we dont have much then again idk its blowing around so bad right now theres no telling how much is acually on the ground.

Wow....unbelievable. I'm just north of Dallas, but don't know where I'm headed after that. Better watch out. Everyone be careful...no heroes needed in this mess!
