I am looking to buy a MiFi 3g 4g from Verizon. I want to use my Laptop and my IPad too. I see 2 of them on Verizons Web Site but they both have mixed reviews for
Verizon Wireless 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot MiFi 4510L
And
Samsung 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot SCHLC11
I am leaning towards the 4510L
What are you folks using???
thank you
MiFi, WiFi What is working for you?

I use the Verizon broadband card, it has a phone # just like a cell phone, is more secure than a wi-fi and I don't have to rely on anyone to have wi-fi. As long as I have cell service, I can get online.
-
thats not true any wifi sold by cell carriers is just as safe.....I asked before i got my hotspot...
American TruckerYup Thanks this. -
a mifi is a cell card it will just let you use it as a wifi hot stop so YOU can have up to 5 things running on it at the same time 4 wifi and 1 pluged in at the same time
right now we have the 3g but will upgread to 4g this fall. we love it -
I am trying to see what folks are using and what is working for them. I understand that 4g is not really out there as much as 3g, but which device are people using?
-
I have the Verizon 3G Hot Spot, its the same thing as their AirCard except you can have 5 computers on it at once AND it's FREE. Instead of paying for an aircard they said take this for free it does the same thing AND you dont have to plug it in, it just has to be within a few feet of the computer
American Truckerbullhaulerswife Thanks this. -
I have the Verizon 3G MIFI and it works great. In the few places I cant get service I tether my AT&T android phone. I can always get service with one or the other.
-
Where didnt you get Verizon Signal?
I only ask because i've be all over 47 of the 48 states and YET to find someplace i cant get wifi or use my phone....

I use the Verizon Mifi2200 3g. It works great. Sometimes it will switch to NationalAccess if im in a bad area, which is just a slower connection, similar to a busy truck stop wifi.
Right now 4g is only in major cities, so most of the time you will be stuck with 3g.
About half of the time it will download a youtube video without pausing. It usually has about 120-200 latency, so i can play first-person-shooter games without much trouble. -
3g is a sure bet, 4g- not so much. You're on the road so 3g is available, 4g is only in places where the system is updated. Don't get scammed and pay for 4g but only get 3g 60% of the time..
