I just upgraded to the Novatel 4g Verizon from the Novatel 3g mifi 2200. I had no problems with the 2200. I had to trade out the new 4g hotspot already. It kept disconnecting and so far the new one still does disconnect periodically even though i have it set to never disconnect. Not sure whats going on. Haven't seen alot of 4g yet but when it does, it is a lot faster. I would never go back to anything but a wifi hotspot. I have a wireless printer that works through the hotspot and the security is not an issue. I don't know why anybody would say that. Guess they just don't really know how it works.

I don't even bother as I park at particular places that offer free WiFi when I feel like browsing the web (Sapp Bros, un-franchised travel plazas, rest areas in Iowa and Texas, etc). Why pay for something you can get for free if you're resourcefull?

AT can you give a little more detail on what your using?? I was thinking you were using the Hot Spot on your Phone to connect your laptop.

    Thank you

I do most stuff on my iphone. For the stuff I need to do on my computer I have the Verizon HotSpot on my phone that gives me 2 GB / month. Data on my phone is unlimited and I can connect my iphone to my TV and watch youtube or my TIVO thru my Slingbox as much as I want. As long as I have 3G the quality is good.

Maybe so, but I'm not dumb enough to put all of my personal information online. Wanna hack into my PC? You aren't going to find anything worth-while except a bunch of MP3's.
