Also depends a bit on the TURN, are you coming down a nice off ramp to a light, or are you in a congested area with a tight turn, a light pole RIGHT on the corner, and the guy in the opposite lane you are turning into is a car length OVER the line, in that case you want to be in a SLOW gear!
Just depends on the whole situation, you will pick it up.
