Does anybody know what they're looking for? I'm 20, just got my class A with aboujt 4,000 miles of road experience, and trained at Foodlink trucking school. I heard they don't like to hire from Foodlink school.

Your best bet is to get hired during harvest season. Tomatoes, rice, corn, etc. You'll have a better chance of landing something full time after the harvest season.

Are you sure? Because on their website it says the average a new driver with no experience at mike lowries makes blah blah blah a season.

Am I sure about what? I grew up in a farm town near Dixon. I know more than a handful of guys who started out at Lowries. I don't know what his website says but I'm sure most of it is just a formality. If you really want to work for Mike go into the office and talk to someone. You're not going to make top dollar because you're a rookie. If you perform during harvest season and you don't damage any equipment you could be considered for a long term position.

I just watched a you tube video of a Lowrie tomato driver who was 21 and they said he was a four year veteran of tomato hauling.

I'm pretty sure they can hire me for tomato haulin. I talked to them personally and they said to come back in June and make an app for tomatoes and with the video you watched I'm convinced. And since the owner has known my dad since highschool I think I have a chance there. It's been pretty hard finding a company that can hire under 21. Thanks for the feedback.
