Lowrie will hire you. I was out of trucking for 10 years. Did 3 months with schneider and them switched to a local company out of Dixon. They didn't seem to care about recent experience.
Don't get discouraged FTB530. There are companies that will give a guy a chance.

Im not discouraged,i really haven't decided if i want to do trucking again but i have been looking because the construction industry is slow and i dont like being off work 4 or five months a year, i know one guy i used to work with is driving for MLT now.
-
Thanks I hope to be on the road soon as possible. I know lowrie is looking for flatbed drivers to drive regional if your into that.

They got that ad in every 10-4 magazine I have. I'd like to do that. I can't remember if they wanted flatbed experience.
-
The ad on Craigslist says 2 years but I think if you get on during tomatoes and kick some butt they'll probably give you a shot. I think they put 2 years in the ad to weed out a lot of goofs. The company I'm at now required 2 years recent experience. Well I've only got 4 month recent but I went in and talked to them. Proved I knew my stuff. They took me out for a test drive and I was pissing in a cup the next day for pre-hire.

Watch out for those Dixon bottom dumps one cost me a windshield lol
-
Did it have splash guards? If not they'll be responsible for the cost. If the splash guards were there they (insurance company) consider it an act of god.
-
No it was double bottom dumps, had mud flaps but the rock were coming off the sides of the truck. Bad thing it was on the same job i was working on and i called CHP , the CHP pulled over the truck but refused to cite him,i told the CHP officer if he was the one with the in his windshield he would be having a different conversation with the truck driver.
