I watch the entire video which is rare and notice something odd, it is the same board I've see on ebay a couple times it looks like the type I just ordered 10 of from a Chinese supplier on ebay for $3 each with other amp Bluetooth boards - the 10 are 50 watt single amp boards with a voltage boaster to use cheap transistors. I expect them in today (I hope). There isn't much to them, used them for simple amps but now I am going to mess with that last 2000 I have and see what I can do with it.

However I didn't even think about this but this isn't new. Its been done a lot of times before going back to the 70's. Even though John did put together a great board (give him credit for a good way to do it), he wasn't the first to think of a way to put it inside the radio.

I wish he would have had a way to let us hear what it sounds like on the air.

It would have been nice but maybe in a followup video.

Most of them I heard sound good, not great but good. It isn't like some of the older radios with a good audio design or even believe it or not a flex setup right for AM. I can't remember her call or her name but this past year, maybe back in 15, I was listening to 3885 and she was running a flex setup for am that sounded as good as some of the gates and Collins broadcast stuff I heard that week.

I think the way these amps don't clip the needed HF is a problem as he said in the video, who needs 25kcs of bandwidth amplification, we don't need to see someone bleeding into two channels on either side.

I was listening to conversation on 40 today between two locals down I think in NC or Georgia (hear them almost every morning) along comes a ESSB operator 20kcs above, he was really loud and clear but he took up the bandwidth. I was on my drake twins and had to really cut down the bandwidth to hear them clearly, it was just too much bandwidth he was taking up. He also must of been QRO because he was just 15 over 9 here on a simple dipole 5 feet off the ground.

For someone lacking the technical expertise to modify a transmitter audio chain to accomplish similar results, this board is a great way to decrease transmitter performance while impressing your neighbor across the street..

    Wow!!!
No need for that amount of bandwidth, at all.. I think I read somewhere, mmm has his set around 10-12kc wide, and imo is too wide at times. Not to mention, most receivers will filter out most of this widebanded audio anyway.
But this is perfect for those who think they're an fm radio dj, and like to tx all their music across ch 19!!! HI FIDELITY!

Hahaha what a waste of money...

In the video, the radio is modified with a wide filter (thinking 12kcs) in order to be able to hear Hi Fi CB.

Yes... this radio is. But the radio rxing the signal, most likely is not. Would probably sound like #### if the receiving radio is a stock cobra 29.

Lots of distortion in this one. It can be fixed though.
