LMAO! I used to be a surgical nurse! Everyone is telling me to re-certify! I have been in a truck for 19 years, owned trucking co and owned a restaurant. I would much rather go back into food before going back to all of that hen pecking in a hospital.

And I called my girl, she is working for SRT out of Texarkana. Lives in the truck teaming, been there done that. Basically hanging on but running. In other words, she gets enough for room and board.

If I were you, I would look at staying home and creating a job. If and when I sell my rig, that is exacly what I am going to do.

And I am not some fly by nighter, you guys interested, $100 large and it is yours!

Geez, Werner even allows females to be trained by male drivers. It's up to the trainer as to whether he will take female students or not.

I trained with Swift years ago.

Wow, very sweet!! 100 grand, huh? I'll show it to the hubby when/if he ever gets home! Don't know much at all about the O/O business. With fuel prices and all the expenses, we thought it'd be too much of a headache for what it's worth.

Thanks for checking with your friend too! I thought about staying at home... even checked into a lot of the online programs doing clerical stuff, which is what I've been doing my whole life, but most ended up wanting money to start out with; usually ending up a scam of some sort. My husband was in Kuwait until this past September, when we decided to go the trucking route.... Worked out okay for him so far. Wish I could say the same. To be honest, now with what happened, I really don't know wtf I'm gonna do. Just keep looking and hoping the industry picks up some, I guess. (yeah, right! lol)

Yeah, I hear ya.... if you can't trust your male trainers with a female student, there's something wrong!!

And Mike, I WISH my husband could train me... I KNOW he'd be much better than what I was with!!

    Vickster O,
I am surprised they would not make an exception to have your hubby be your trainer since you two are married. I know certain companies have rules for male/female trainer/trainee but I would only see this apply to non-related personnel?

Also, too bad you did not have an audio recorder so you could provide proof of abuse of power by the trainer you had.
