Practical miles are from address to address where as HHg are zip code to zip code usually. sliding pay scale is the way of srewing your check up i believe it's the shorter the run the more per mile but.......also the longer the run the less per mile.
HAMADOWN Thanks this. -
Sliding scale is a way to get ####ed. Think about it the more you work the less you get paid. I would run from a job like that.

Thanks, sounds like government work....they find a way to stick it to you.

Sliding scale is for instance: 1-500 mile load pays .50 cents per mile and anything 501 miles and up pays .45 cents per mile. It is based on the length per haul. Shorter runs pay more cents per mile than longer ones. That is a sliding scale.

If done correctly, you should make the same $$$ per hour......should

unfortunately we work by the mile and not the hour. They pay better for shorter runs because you eat up more time. But as a company driver it's about the miles. it's a way to screw the driver.
