    That plane is probably headed to the scrapyard. Once they're submerged in salt water, that's that. That particular plane is jam-packed with electronic equipment.

    Yup. The P-8 Poseidon picks up where the P-3 Orion(military version of the Lockheed L-188 Electra turboprop airliner) left off in maritime patrol. The Poseidon is based on the Boeing 737-800 civilian airliner.
    Each copy costs about $150 million dollars each. Flight crew is going to have some explaining to do!

    C-1 was a workhorse for sure. I flew in one as a passenger from Philippines to Vietnam. Due to something going on at Tan Son Nhut Air Base in Saigon, we were diverted to an aircraft carrier for landing. Quite an experience.
