Military aircraft overshoots runway, floats in Hawaii's Kaneohe Bay: officials

The best they can do to that plane now is strip the plane of all the electronics,any useful/reusable items and turn the airframe into an artificial reef!

I thought advancing the thrust levers to TO/GA meant it was party time???

 

Saw a YouTube video saying that it was an all female crew.

 

Our military is in bad shape. Every week, it seems some upper echelon commander is relieved "due to lack of confidence" or planes, ships or such are lost due to operator error.

 

Can't speak for the other branches, but the navy in particular is more transparent with the leadership changes.

There's usually a press release when there is a change of command...even when it is not scheduled (i.e a CO gets relieved).
