Huuu the board of corrections has NOTHING to do with military discharges. The board of corrections is civilian penal.

Simply put NEVER LIE about it has it will one day come back to bite you. But if they don't ask don't volunteer some companies only want to see your DD214 if your discharge was with in the last 10 years. Has then it will show up on your 10 year work history. I have filled out Many app's where they have never even asked what discharge I received only if I was in the military.

As I said before, just leave it out. No need to make another stupid mistake and lie about the type of discharge you have. Being a retired Marine myself, what you are proposing is a slap in the face to the many veterans who served honorably. If you tell me you served, I'm checking your DD214. I don't care how long ago it was. Didn't say I wouldn't hire you, but I dang sure aint hiring you if you lie to me.

I'm sorry but for the past 5 years I've been dealing with the corrections board and on every denial I gotten I've asked for the panal members and none have them have ever been civilian. Why in the world woulod you think that this would be a civilian panal??

You are 100% correct. But in my defense this must have been changed since I retired in 1990. Even my trusted (now not so trusted) Blue Jackets Manual only listed the 4. I stand corrected.

Don't know what or I should say when your Blue Jackets Manuel was written (If you retired in 90 your manual was probably written in 80 or before) but those 5 go back to when I was a recruit in 86. Before all of the computers many of the manuals seemed to be 10-20 years old.
