I have a few years of experience 4 years, I started my driving career with Lisa motor lines and they were great until FFE closed our doors. I live in Long Island,NY and most of the trucking companies have moved to expensive here, taxes way to high. So, I read the truckers forum, thats how I found Lisa motor lines. Their were alot of military veterans working their. I'm looking for a small company that will run regional. Any suggestions will help. Thank you and god bless.
I was taught from my trainers always listen to the guys or girls that have many years of experience. They have done it, seen it, and changed it.
Thank you

Have you tried GSN I think in Ronkonkoma? They are the ones always advertising perfume on the sides of their trailers. Carlisle Carriers out of Mechanicsburg PA should higher you as well, regional only carrier. Regency always seemed like a class company. There is also Pottles, and the company that runs the black small bunk KW's that were always hauling Poland Spring, I can't think of their name. Have you though about trying to get on with Grocery Haulers or whatever they are called now? There are a crap load of regional opportunities in the Northeast for a driver with experience. Just go down to Waldbaums in Central I slip and see who's delivering.

Thanks for all your help, I have a great friend that works as a manager at GSN, but she said they arent hiring until March, but I cant wait that long. I spoke to the hiring manager at regency and im sending my resume to him today. yes it all makes sense, walbuams has closed and was sold to sysco foods, they built a new facilty their and its huge. Thank you for all your advice. God bless. -
You might want to try Venzia Liquid tank Lines. They are out of Limerick PA and honestly try to get you by the house once a week. To work for them you need to have tankers and hazmat. They are owned by 3 Italian brothers and the 3 brothers are still pretty much hands on. One of the children was my load planner. He was in his mid 20's sharp guy. Will work with you. I had plebty of complaints while I was there because I had a Gas Haulers mantality. A Gas Hauler has the ball the whole game, meaning you get all your loads for the night in the beginning of your shift you load it, transport it and unload it. Then you do the same thing over and over until you get your work done. With lube oil it is all done by appointment time and it kills your production. They never cheated me though they told me I would avearage $1,000 to 1,200 a week. I didn't always make that much but made more than that to. All in all I felt they were good people to work for. This would be a good time of year to start because they are slow right now. It would give you a chance to learn the buisness. I left because I came back to Georgia. Hope this helps
