About the only company guys I know for a fact that make that kind of money per day on a regular basis are top scale UPS drivers. Some barns pay darn near $40/hr now which would be $320 for 8 hours of straight time. Bump it up to time and a half for a couple hours on a 10 hour shift and it gets you right in the ballpark.
Milk driver $450 a day !?!

$450 a day to start?. Old timers at the top of the pay scale on a cherry bid are no doubt making that much
Another Canadian driver Thanks this. -
Some of those guys are too I’m sure. A 600 mile per night bid run at 75 cents a mile would get you there.

Oh I'm well aware, my reply was tongue in cheek. I have long since given up on LTL jobs where I live. About the only one constantly hiring is ABF which for some reason always has a casual dock/driver position open. I guess noone wants a job where they have no clue how much they will earn that week...if anything at all.

I worked for ABF for about 2 awful months in King's County, USA. That's one I truly wish I could take back. My freight days in Portland, OR I have far kinder memories of.
