Well I passed all my evaluations...the hotel was something left to be desired....my roommates I had the good and the bad. I had some real good range instructors brian and lennie, and my road instructor wayne was a cool guy really got my down shifting in tact they made us Illinois students stay in Tennessee for road training due to lack of trainers in gary..but they sent us to best western inn in Hammond last night which I have a bigger more comfortable bed im guessing ill be taking the cdl exam this week at south holland. They will be giving us 3 days training starting tomorrow to get familiar with the shorter trailer Illinois is making us use. But man was the training intense and fast paced even when I started with straight line backing up to the 45 but now I have it down packed all the overnight range training in the showers and thunderstorms paid off I was blesses to pass class...range and road evaluations my first time without having to repeat a week now im jus nervous about my cdl exam they Illinois road test is very strict and have alot if auto fails il update when I get back from training tomorrow

Hey LB, looks like I'll be headed to Millington TN this coming Monday if I get my CDL this week. Any words of wisdom would be appreciated i.e. paperwork, food, lodging...
Is it worth having a vehicle down there? I'm toying with the idea of bringing my bike. -
I would highly advise taking your own vehicle. The lodging isn't horrible. They do bunk you with about 3 other people in one room. However, the rooms have mini kitchens. Grocery store is within walking distance. There is a Wal-Mart nearby, too. I believe Swift will reimburse gas expenses if hired.
