Still not quite a driver yet and I am still looking into it. I have contacted Millis and, after much reading here on the boards, I think they will be the way to go in a couple months.
More to the point: I swear I heard or read somewhere that some companies give you the choice to go into or avoid NY. Is this true for Millis? Also, do they have better pay for NY trips?
My next question is this: How often have you Millis drivers been asked to go through NY and, more specifically, NYC?
Reason I ask is because I am still trying to grasp the idea of the low bridges and such!
Thanks guys!
You've all been a great help and a huge inspiration for this goal of mine!![]()

That's weird, I was just going to post a similar question. I have only been in the city riding subway or cab. I couldn't imagine driving a big truck or even a car in that city.

Haha, great minds think alike is what they say.

NYC runs are not forced. It is an extra $100 to go. usually these loads are done by drivers that live that way. As for the state of NY you run what you get.

Thanks Ryeman, that's good to know. I think I do remember this question has been asked before, but was'nt sure it was here on Millis.
dr_lecter Thanks this. -
That is most good news for a newbie/soon to be driver! Thanks for the timely response!

Ill take that $$ all the time. Seems like there's a number of places in NJ we go that should be $200 by comparison.

We run New York state quite a bit. I've never been asked to run the city since I've been here (almost 8 months). And Sully you got that crap right. I hate going to Jersey.

Jersey to me is like Pittsburg and Philly - hate going there!
