Millis OTR journal

Well 3 weeks out and stripper pole guy already bent a cab extender. Not surprised but I hoped for the best. Such an easy thing to prevent.
Also my adopted trainee blew past a weigh station in PA last week. 3 citations out of the ordeal. Just mentioning it because he told Millis about it. Feel worse for the weigh station issue than the cab extender.
Weigh station guy at least realizes he screwed up and most likely won’t ever do that again.

 

Yuck that's gonna be expensive. I blew past one in Virginia a couple of weeks ago but you know....that ramp looked pretty full to me. Besides it was a Prepass scale and they didn't light mine up either way. The way I see it is if they wanted me to come in that badly, they would've given me a red light. I got away with it, though, unlike your guy.

 

The batteries may be dead in your prepass.

She was always nice and upbeat every time I talked with her. She will be missed.

 

She finalized everything for me through training. Heard the news half way through. Very nice lady, Prayers to her family!

 

Another day of pulling in to some new place to park for the night with 4 or 5 spaces when I got there and they're filled up within 10 minutes. And I bet there will be a refer pulling into the spot next to me when the dropped trailer there is pulled away.

 

And a refer pulled into the spot left when the dropped trailer was removed. That didn't take too long.

 

Nah the Prepass is working. It's just Virginia being Virginia and not signaling it.

Looks like this thread got mentioned on the FB page and possibly caused someone else to choose Millis.

I don't think I knew Peggi. Sounds like she was a nice lady though. Cancer sucks. #### cancer.

 

She drove the bright yellow SUV that youd see parked at BRF during the day. Was really an awesome person. Best recruiter Millis had because she wouldnt BS you and she had OTR experience of her own. She is who I always referred anyone to call if they were considering Millis.
