It’s been a very long time since I had to teach someone how to back. It’s like teaching me how to back.

 

New guy loves curbs. If he isn’t hitting one he is trying too. Only been a week but I’m pretty sure I’ve said swing wide with emphasis 20 times. Have had to back up twice. He is a stickler for keeping it in the lines. Just doesn’t get at times there is a 53 ft trailer behind us. Backing getting a little better so that’s good. Understands qcom and HOS pretty good. Hopefully we don’t damage a tire or take out a sign or a fence.

 

Stopping at Columbus Heartland tomorrow for the night. Last night stayed in Albany. This afternoon trainee said he really needed to stop for a shower today. So stopped early here in Calhoun so trainee could shower. He eats then decides not to shower. Wtf!!!!!!!!

 

Maybe he's not so normal.

I discovered a new way brokered loads suck. I've been waiting over 2 hours for the trailer owner to get me a copy of the registration and insurance cards that should be on their trailer, but aren't. There's never time to do it right the first time, but there's always time to do it over.

 

Finally got the forms after waiting since 3 yesterday....

 

I can relate to your trainee today MIT, I debated between stopping at the Loves across the street and getting a shower or stopping at the Mom and Pop place across the street and getting dinner. I went for dinner.

And I'm supposed to get $150 for yesterday's snafu, I ended up spending the night there before getting the last form around 8.

 

I too find myself faced with choosing between good food and a shower. Food will win almost every time.

 

Guess who fell asleep in a quiet empty truck stop and woke up in between a pair of refers?
