Millis OTR journal

Never really put any thought into it, but today we were informed that we are in the running for safest trucking company in the USA. According to the Truckload Carriers Association. Pretty amazing when so many of our drivers are newbies.

 

I was just thinking not too long ago that it's rare to see Millis trucks in any of the videos and pictures online where people have captured truck drivers royally screwing up. Y'all trainees are doing something right

 

I always thought it was based on how much advertising dollars and donations are made to that group.

 

Lol i thought the same because I’m a cynic. Bison must pay the most because for several years they have been #1.

 

I think there are enough Swift drivers and flip flop wearing white Volvo steering wheel holders to keep Ike in business for a while.

 

Glad I put in for vacation time starting on the 19th heartland is marching shutdowns across the states west to east.

 

As did I same day, I wonder how it's gonna look on the flip side after Christmas..

 

Yeah I’ve wondered the same. I’m heading back out on the 27th.

 

None of you guys were involved in that big pileup in Sandusky County on the Ohio Turnpike yesterday, were you?

As for me, I'm posting this from my couch while trying to stay warm. My furnace has been running nonstop trying to heat this old house.

 

I've been home for a few days and missed most of the bad weather. I've seen more vehicles in the ditch the past week or so than I ever have and am glad to be hanging out in the couch for a while.
