I was noticing more Swift trailers when I was still with Millis. I wonder if Swift will take over the yard jockeying, and if those drivers will be any better than the "Swifty Swift" types we all worry about?
MIT Thanks this. -

When I worked in IT I worked directly under a bunch of executives. They're dumb. I mean really, really dumb. -
Speaking of training. With my last trainee I discovered I am I’ll equipped to handle special needs students. The woman just didn’t understand a thing I said. I felt like I was teaching a remedial driving course. 3 weeks and she still didn’t understand proper turn signal usage. Couldn’t get her to understand she wasn’t driving a car. Twice we missed truck parking in rest areas because she would blow by the turn. She drove to fast in truck stops, shippers, receiver, terminals.
I’ve only been driving for a little over 4 years now I still take it slow. Not her pouring down rain I look over and we are going 76 miles an hour. I’m done with her hope her next trainer has better luck or Millis just boots her before she kills someone.JOHNQPUBLIC, Coragran, Still undecided and 1 other person Thank this. -

Having been around enough people that didn't learn to drive at Millis I'm not surprised when I see people do dangerous/stupid things. Like when I noticed the coolant was low by a gallon after being in the shop for a week and driven by a coworker earlier. How would that happen if people were doing their job? Or the guy that came flying through the truck parking on the Indiana tollway? He could have clobbered my truck if I hadn't slowed down to look before I drove through that part of the parking lot. I was really glad we had cameras then, even if nothing happened.

One of our safety messages yesterday was a reminder not to take a break on railroad tracks. Wish I knew what was behind that being sent out.
