Keep on trying man. I am looking forward to the day you pass, I know you've been working hard on it. Did I give you the info on the practice site? Sorry it's hard to keep track of everyone. If I didn't, please let me know, I will go find it again and post it for you here.

Yeah you gave that information to me. My current job is in crisis with employees n I'm feeling guilty for wanting to leave as well. I've been on overtime for the last month! So I've been reading/studying everything I can, BMV book, this website, your website etc. I'll take practice tests some too. Hopefully I'll have general done this week.

I feel your pain man trust me. I left my former boss in a state of distress. He had 3 guys leave at the same time for greener pastures. Your boss will be fine, take care of you. That site i gave you isnt just practice. Those are the actual registered questions with the actual correct answers. Just memorize that, and you'll pass. Looking forward to seeing you here, I know you've been working hard on getting here. If I can help you in any way, please don't hesitate to contact me. I'll give you my phone number if you want it, just send me a pm.

Sup gang. I'm at the Richfield terminal this evening. I delivered my load around noon today. Nice folks, but weird setup for the docks. There wasn't anywhere for me to sit at this location, so I submitted for a load before this load was off my trailer. I needed to have somewhere to go, and quickly. Opie sent me a load, and asked if I had the hours to handle it. And I didn't :( Nice tight little run to Kentucky. I would have needed one more hour than what I had. That sucks. He had me pick it up anyhow, and I dropped it here at the yard for another driver. Still had a good day, got 500 miles in. I'll have to wait for tomorrow's freight to get released before I'll get another load, so I have some time to kill. The guys in the shop slid me in to address a tire leak. Then I wandered across the street to the good ol' Sawmill. I won't get a load for about 12 hours from now, so I'm typing out this post while enjoying an ice cold Budweiser. And man is it ever hitting the spot. Nothing else to report today. Overall this was a pretty smooth day. No issues at all. Traffic was awesome and the weather was beautiful. I believe that's it for me for today. Gonna call the little lady and hit the sack. And for the first time in a while, no alarm needed. Alrighty Truckerland, I'm out. Be safe out there, talk to y'all tomorrow. Peace.

Hey there peeps. I skipped a day, because my work and sleep schedule is all jacked up right now. Yesterday morning, I reminded Opie I was in need of a load. He told me that it may be a little before he had one. He got back to me with a killer run and a reload. The catch? It picks up at 18:30. Ugh....So I tried to get some sleep, to no avail. I was coming off a really lengthy sleep session (for me). I called the shipper to see if they'd take me early. They said I could come at 17:00, which I guess is better than nothing. Got loaded up and headed on my way. Drove until 03:00, at which point my need for sleep was overpowering. Found a spot to park at the Flying J in Lake Township Ohio. I set my alarm for 11:00 so that I had time to shower before I left. Woke up at 09:00. Tried to go back to sleep, but no dice. My body is just used to being up at that time I guess. Hit the road as soon as my 10 was over, and drove straight to the final, where I am now. Typically I will avoid the turnpike in Indiana because of all the construction and 45mph zones. But even with those factors in play, both my GPS and Google Maps said it was the fastest possible way. My 70 was pretty barren, so I needed to save every possible minute. So, I got here and parked, ready to settle in and grab some sleep. I noticed, however, that there were trucks moving around the docks. I approached one of the drivers and asked if they were open. Yup, open 24/7. I asked the lady at the shipping desk if there's any chance they'd take me early. And they did! This load isn't due until 08:00 tomorrow, and I'm sitting in a dock now :) So as soon as my 10 is done, I'll be heading to my next pickup. Absolutely awesome. Well, I need to sleep while I can, so I'm outta here. Hope you're all doing well. Talk to y'all tomorrow. Peace!

Sorry gang, another lag in my posts. I'll make up for it now, this will be a long one lol. So, yesterday I finished my 10 at the receiver and then headed to Elkton Virginia to grab a beer load heading to the Miller brewery in Milwaukee. I landed in Vandalia Ohio for the evening (might as well be Dayton). I headed to my final as soon as my 10 was over. Before I left, I sent a message to my dispatcher that I am now regretting. I reminded him that I have home time coming, because my next load needs to be going that way in order to make it on time. The options for loads in Milwaukee are extremely plentiful for us. There's the brewery, the drop yard in West Allis, and the terminal in Richfield. I only sent him that message because sometimes he asks to be reminded of stuff like that. I fear that I may have pissed him off. He did, however, find a beer load from the brewery heading to Cleveland. And it's perfectly timed, which is no surprise to me based on his past magic with picking loads after having looked at my 70. My 70 is in horrible shape right now. This load is less than 500 miles and I don't have the hours to cover it in one day. It delivers on Wednesday, which is when my home time was scheduled. Perfect! Drop this load off and go get back to nature. City folk be crazy. Got a DOT physical scheduled during my home time, because my medical card is only good for a year. I can't believe it's been a year already since I got it. Wow time flies, it's scary. When I come back, I'll have two months to go to complete my first year as a Millis employee. That just blows my mind. Tomorrow will be a super short day, I only have 6.5 on my 70. It'll be over before it even begins. 63944793.jpg Yes, yes I do. It smells like....*sniff sniff*...HOME TIME! Looking forward to seeing the deer in my back yard from my deck, and not through a windshield. I'm coming home, mama. That's it for now. Time to hit the sack. Be safe out there, and keep the rubber side down. Peace y'all, talk to you tomorrow.

Thank you Opie, you're pretty much my favorite person on the planet. Cheers to you, brother.

Sup Truckerland. I'm currently in Delta, Ohio. Tell you what, today was ROUGH! I had to drive for a whole 5.5 hours. Unacceptable! Nobody should have to work that hard in one day! :biggrin_2559::biggrin_2559::biggrin_2559: I am out of hours. Well, almost. I have an hour left. I could have gone a little further, but I never pass up the opportunity to hit this truck stop if it works out for my schedule. I don't have to leave here for another 13 hours, so it's chill time. Gonna scan in a couple bills, grab a shower, and order some toys. One thing you need out here for sure is a phone plan with unlimited data. Verizon, as much as I love them, have made it necessary to get a second phone. Simply for data. Unlimited doesn't mean unlimited anymore. 22 gigs at 4g, then they drop you to 3g during peak times. And apparently it's always peak time, because it's slow as hell when my 22 is up. I'm an admitted data hog, so I'm getting another line. But that's another thing to look forward to when I get home, a new toy. I love tech stuff, so I'm pretty pumped about getting it. A shiny new Samsung GS8! But I digress, I'm rambling. It has been brought to my attention that I have been neglecting to post my miles on this thread. My bad. Last week, for the pay period that ended yesterday, I had 3566. The previous week was a hair over 2600. Well, that's it for now. Gonna get moving and head to bed. Tomorrow I'll be sipping a beer at home while enjoying my fish and the local wildlife. There is no better therapy than time hanging with mama and my kiddo. If not for the DOT, I'd be there now. Rubber side down y'all. Peace.
