IWait, YouTube star snitches on bullcrap things like passing a slow truck while viedoing everything all the time?
Anyway, beverage distributors in 38th and King Ave in Cleveland. No problem. I couldn't find these other docks that would require going into a lot across the street. I got either of the two on 38th and just go down to the next street and come down 38th sight side. Have to mindful of the poles but probably way easier...in fact sure it is easier than NAB in Rochester. When he pointed to where the docks were, I was full of relief. I couldn't see any docks on King...some warehouse doors but no way getting this thing in those.

Don't even need to hop that curb and pull up into that gravel area. I think even with a truck in door 1 it wouldn't be too bad.
Terminal in Baltimore is still my number one ugh dock. And the drop lot at Georgia Pacific cedar springs. Dropping the glass loads in Albany have been a little work especially when the sun is up and it seems you are in everyone's way.

Or just pull in on 38th clearly following only GPS routing and take a hard left into the gravel mud pit by hopping the curb and set for a nice straight back. -
Im not saying "Youtube Star" is the 1 who snitched on my previous student. Thats just who farmer was referring to with truck 8055. But yes I've heard from several hes a snitch
Farmer54 Thanks this. -
C&D Leach in Rochester wasn’t too bad getting in. The driver directions were spot on, even the 12’8” bridge you go under. Lol,,,, I called Leach just to be sure and he laughed and said yes, that bridge is 14’. Easy angle back into dock off the street.
Getting out was another story. Couldn’t go back like you came in because of the angle so I gambled and trusted my gps. There was 1 very very tight right handed that if the cars hadn’t all have backed up for me, I wouldn’t have made it. -
Well my student got his NJ cherry popped this morning. Delivered to Union now deadheading over to Bloomsburg PA grab a Smuckers load going to University Park IL.....and then its 9 days at home for me...

Ok I know we've touched on this convo before but I want to bring it up again. I know alot of guys get irritated when they aren't given long runs, and think you cant make any $$ running shorter runs. People always talk about average length of haul...and I've said it before you can make real good miles turning a load a day...this was our week right here...
Mon
Memphis to Trenton OH= 537miles
Tuesday
Trenton OH to Fairburn GA= 532 miles
Weds
Greensboro GA to Trenton OH= 592 ld 91 empty =683 miles
Thurs
Trenton OH to Union NJ =611miles
Fri
Bloomsburg PA to University Park IL = 640 loaded 141 empty miles= 781 miles.
Total Miles for the week when we deliver in the morning will be 3144miles with an average length of haul of only 628 miles.
That is in 5 days! I gave up a 995mile load from Memphis to Rochester at beginning of week. If id stayed on that and delivered Weds like scheduled i would've had 995miles Wednesday morn....by giving it up I had just under 1800 Weds morn....
Now before I hear "well you are a trainer you have 2 logbooks" I've driven 4 hrs ALL WEEK!
A 628mile a day average is entirely possible for a solo driver. Yes you must run out your clock most days. Also this is why I start my days at 2am or so solo because you have alot better odds of being able to maximize your driving time. Also nkt being delayed at a shipper/receiver is a must but thats out of our control.
Just thought I'd throw that out there for some of the guys who ONLY want the long runs... -
Coming to a Millis Unit near you....
