I worked for Millis back in 01-02. I was let go for a wreck in NYC. My fault, no one else to blame. Thats where I started, and they are one of the best to start with. Some trainers have a lot to be desired. But the com pany as a whole is pretty good.

Whitey, all I can say is I've researched quite a bit along with several others on here. I just finished my second week of school and have talked with several drivers who say it is a decent company and have been with them for several years. But of course it is what you make of it, with Millis or any company you shoot for.

The good definitely outweighs the bad from everything I've read and everybody I've talked to. There are always going to be a few bad apples out of the bushel. Not referring to drivers but to experiences.

Best of luck in your search.

Millis is not a good company I drove for them in 08 and 09 into 10...they are liars...i was otr they offered me a regional position with them and i said i would under the stipulation that if i couldnt make the money i was makeing otr then i needed to go back otr...they in return said not a problem.....ok so i went on to do so as we had agreed upon....didnt work out i asked to go back otr they said give us a few weeks to find u a otr truck...ok i give them that..2 months come and go.they then give excuse that my old dispathcer doesnt want me back...well me and my dispatcher was a real good team never bickerd bout loads he gave em to me i tookem for him....so i knew that was a lie...then they said no dispatchers wanted me....so angry i asked and y is that...they replied oh u started some crap and thats how it works here....ok so i go thru chain of command to get a question answerd being going over some heads and they wanna be lil sissy butts and play games with a grown mans income to support his family....(not cool).....let me say the training instructor in trenton ohio is a outstanding fella...i like bill he is a good teacher and a str8 to the point guy!...randy in the shop a good guy...and the fellas in the shop in trenton i never have had a prob with...i do like alot of the drivers still have lots of friends that drive for millis that i stay in touch with all the time.....they do take care of the trucks....all i can say is if u do something get it on paper......cause if u piss 1 person off in the office at black river falls u will get screwed......oh and they say it is a open door policy they lie....so ther like all companies are good and bad but with millis more bad then good!....i like the trucks....but the way they treat u if u are man enough to ask a legit question that makes perfectly good sense and for a good reason in a calm profesional manner prepare to get the run around and be lied to...good luck with ur search....and all have a great safe xmas....

i work for millis for a long time and found out that thy will treat you as good as you treat them . however thy are only looking out for them sealfs not the driver thy will run you out of hours on your log book and then make you sit at some truck stop somewere and not try and get you home if it is not to there benafit if thy can get you home thy will if it helps them out as well thy do have the best equitment out there i think but that is not everthing the pay sucke 31 cents a mile at best most people just out of school only get 21 cents a mile and as fare as bounes go forget it thy will find a way to take it away from you so you deside there are worst places to work but there are better ones to.
