Millis truck numbers

    Someone asked this question on another forum, thought I would post it here for the knowledgeable ones to answer

    "Anyone know why the T-660 is a five digit unit number and the T-700's are just four digit unit numbers?"

    2xxx- 2 is 2012 model year, the xx1 is the truck number.
    The 46xxx for the T680, 4 is the 2014 model year, the 6 is for T680 and then xxx truck number. I was told its because they switched over to the Paccar MX engine and thats why the 5 numbers. But can say for certain its that, as the Freightshakers and first round of 2013 T680 use the 4 digit numbers. If its a test truck it will use just the model number, or model number +1 for if more than one truck.
