MILS sounds like a great company. I live not far from the Collierville location at AOC. Can you elaborate on the pay and accessory pay. What about hotel rooms on layovers and restarts? Do they hire recent grads? Trying to get the low down on things... I understand if you don't or can't discuss it here.

Hey Hamboner, I like it here because they are fair, schedule me in advance and pay well compared to others. This is my third tanker job. They require 2 years of driving experience. If you get a chance, stop by and talk to Kevin in the office. Cross the RxR, 1st driveway on left and pull around to the shop÷office. We get paid for everything we do. I can pm you my number if you want more information.

Still here going on 2.5 years. Unloading in Waco TX tomorrow, headed to Houston then NJ, then back to FL to swap into a brand new 2013 Peterbilt 386. Probably heading up to Hammond IN to help train new drivers because we opened up a terminal up there and are still hiring.

    jlind Thanks this.

Left Lakeland FL last week and delivered in AL. Then dropped a dirty trailer and picked up a clean trailer for the Collieville TN terminal. Next am I hooked a preloaded trailer and went to Waco TX. Got there early and customer didn't have room, so we unloaded the next day and got layover pay on top of my miles and unloading hours. From there headed to Channelview TX for a paid reset, got loaded in Deer Park Sunday and unloading now in NJ. After I'm done going to head down 301 and avoid Baltimore and DC. Should be back in Lakeland Friday afternoon. Also to clear up what our company requirements are because I don't want to mislead anyone. There is a post over in the jobs thread. But we need 2 years of recent verifiable hazmat tanker otr in multi states, terrains and weather.

Took a nice detour from I81 x315 on hwy 7 to us 340
through Harpers Ferry W VA. 340 runs to the 270/70 split West of Baltimore. Nice ride.
