Sometimes there's trade-offs to get the hometime and pay you want.
Food service sucks; I tried it. I'll take a reefer outfit running OTR any day over food service. Some people like that crap, but I won't do it.
Minimum experience to get into food distribution

I would stick with pepsi for one year. We have a lot of beer and soda guys come over. Here's the issue you might have. They'll see you're trying to jump ship after only 4 months because you can't hack pepsi (in their eyes) so they'll think you can't hack food service which there is a ton of turnover.
If you can last 8 more months im pretty sure you're setCardfan89 Thanks this. -
I understand just the pepsi distributor treats their guys like crap, last week my glasses snapped and they threw a fit and wrote me up because i had to take off to get them fixed

Some food service isn't better in all honesty bro. Pretty much every driver at my company is only here for a pay check nothing else. None of us enjoy it, the company will not hesistate to fire us once robots can drive and deliver. We tolerate it because of the paycheck and nothing else.
