Do yourself a favor. Go buy a reefer. Then find someone to run LTL with. get 3.50 a mile going out. And not no BS 300 miles at 3.50 a mile. I am soooo sick of these landstart nutswingers talking about 2.50+ a mile freight that they haul a 300 mile radius of. Guess what. I'll pay a 100 bucks a mile. But if I only send ya 3 miles whats the dang point? 1 pick 1 drop doesn't pay the bills. Being home everyweekend is a joke. You wanna make real money then again I suggest you revamp your priorities. Get you about 5-9 stops on a trailer. Then you don't care even if you have to bounce back from Florida empty. Cheap freight is just a way to pass the time. I haul plenty of 1.30 a mile freight coming home. 1 pick 1 drop and its off the truck in 15 hours. Who cares. Its fuel money. And to all these people complaining about us cheap freight haulers. Guess what? It isn't gonna change. You think by calling a broker at 4 am or whatever is gonna change his line of thought? Even with the cheap freight I still averaged well over 2 bucks a mile for every mile driven. Theres a point here. Cheap freight works. You just have to make it work for you. Don't get wrong. If the numbers don't at least come close to adding up I bounce. However, 1.30 a mile can work if your coming back to a good freight lane. And to the idiots that are gonna argue with me I KNOW for a fact not 1 of you is coming back to the windy out of Atlanta for more than 1k period!!! Not for a 1 pick 1 drop load. So get off all your holy ropes stating your gonna sit for 3 weeks waiting for 2.50 a mile cause your FULL OF IT!!!! Sorry for the rant but it's true.

Who wants to run all over the country for weeks on end if they could run a 300 mile radius or less, make the same or even better money, and have some home life? Weekends at home, 10 hour breaks on occasion, and $3,000+ after fuel is possible if you work at it. Just because you haven't figured it out doesn't mean it can't be done.

"Minimum Rate you you haul for???"
Wrong question. You should be focusing on the maximum rates you can get. The minimum rates are no-brainers.richhawn Thanks this. -
I don't crank up for less than $4/mile. But that's just me.

$2.01/mi in general, but also look at net revenue per day.
