Livestock is roundtrip work, and dragging that big aluminum parachute down the road at 80mph has your fuel cost per mile up between .90 to 1 per mile. You better be getting at least $3.30 to break even! Then add more if you want some profit for your time, effort, and capital risk. I'd probably want more than a straight $0.35/mi for those three things. At $4, that's about where you stand. Truck it up, bullwagon! BOOP! BOOP!

Actually, I get 5mpg average. With fuel costing roughly 3.70 where I fuel that makes my fuel cost per mile at 74 cents. I pay myself $1.00 per mile. Everything else goes to the truck and I do very very well for myself. Keep hauling ur freight at 60 MPH trying to make money while I get out there and get back to get another...

So, companies with hundreds of trucks calculate 1.10 plus driver's pay but you say 1,25 is ok?! After driving 3000 m, you will pocket 450 bucks:biggrin_2558:.

Not me, but I wouldn't go up there expecting to do anything other than bounce out empty.

I miscalculated, my break even had is. 98 cpm. I guarantee i am not going to be running for that, but it does feel good to know that not having any debt does help alot.
