When the Ohio State Police questioned Welk about the damage sustained to his truck on I-90 in Montana, Welk stated he hit a deer.
Therefore, he did not deny he was driving and he did not deny he was in that location, in order to hit the "deer" .
He also contradicted that statement by telling CRST's shop that he hit a "hawk". It's clear he has dug 2 graves, one for the 81 yr old victim and one for himself.
So I can think you can put to rest "he might not even been at that location or driving".
Is he 100% guilty at this point? No, not until after a trial. But by his own actions and words, he is on the solid path to convicting himself.Last edited: Jan 29, 2014

Right now we are dealing with the facts as we know them, and the facts as we know them put this guy as being there and having been the one to hit the man.
And I tell you what if he confesses which will probably happen in a plea deal for a more leinant sentence, I am going to rub your nose in it. -
