Last January I was squeezing a bus through a tight gap that I had done multiple times in the past. I didn't set it up right and I ended up hitting the lug nuts of the bus against the lug nuts of a tow truck next to me. We didn't hit anything else, which I thought was interesting. Anyhow the tow truck had no damage, and the bus was missing some plastic lug nut covers. We didn't call the police but I filled out an accident report, gave him a copy and gave my boss a copy, and I was written up at my job for it. However since there was no damage to the other vehicle, and they never bothered replacing the lug nut covers I knocked off, how would I list it on an application. It costed no one a penny except for me, I lost .25 an hour for it.

If you filled out an accident report my guess is that it went on your DAC but I can't speak as I am not in the industry just from what I have learned here. I think most of the advice I have seen here has been come clean explain the situation and hope they will understand.

Ask yourself what their reaction will be if they find out from some source other than you?

It's an "incident". While not actually an "accident", it's something that is documented with minor damage involved.

More good comes from telling the truth then not telling at all. My opinion would to tell the the whole truth and nothing but the truth.
