Way to solve that problem driver. It's unfortunate because it's the nature of the business. It wouldn't have been cost effective for them to send someone out there just to replace a mirror. Companies hate with a passion calling roadside for anything. They definitely were not going to do it for a mirror. I had to drive back to the terminal once with a big hole in the windshield. Someone threw a rock off the overpass in Illinois. Scared the #### outta me. It was late so I got sleep at the next exit. I let the company know, they told me they had windshields there, I lit a smoke, and it became go-time. Got to the terminal no problem. I am only glad it was not cold that day, and that there were no Smokey the Bears around. Moral is, it's going to be impossible to avoid situations. Sometimes you gotta gamble and get somewhere to get a repair done. The worst that could have happened is that DOT would have grounded you til you got it fixed.

At least you had a passenger mirror. Last month I saw in Gary Indiana a Schneider truck with nothing on the passenger side. Guy wasn't trying to be safe. Going 65 in the middle lane. I realized after I should of clipped them on my dashcam. People like that shouldn't be allowed in any vehicle
