Great post. Sadly, the kind of owners that run tires like this are the ones that cheap out everytime and simply won't buy any quality tires, then complains about it and says the alignment guy is at fault. True story!

Tire guys always say the alignment guy is at fault, but alignment guys always say it's the tire. I guess they cancel each other out and nobody is at fault.

OK, I see that you are a "wannabe" so you are forgiven for not already knowing this. But in this industry, it is NOT the tire's fault, and it is NOT the alignment guy's fault. What it is, and always will be, IS THE DRIVER'S FAULT!

Don't believe me? Just ask any trucking company dispatcher...:biggrin_25510:

Oh yea you get in an accident and it's the 4-wheelers fault they'll always blame the driver. Pisses me off but what can you do it's ignorance there's a whole state in the west full of em komiefronia.

A simple way to know (having worked in a tire store) if the tires are the same size was to take a piece of strapping that was to size of the first tire. Then adjust (usually with in 5-10 psi) the other tire to where the loop of package banding could still be removed from the tire. Thus ensuring the same diameter.
