So you know you have an unpaid toll, are you ever going to pay it?Bet you could pay it now right over the phone.Would'nt it be better to just pay it rather then worry and wonder if the DOT will do anything?
-
Thing Rolling Coal runs his own plates? That or Big Bad Bill got a bill , and wondering WTH ? Got to have some fun !
-
Here's what you do .
Get yourself a IPASS transponder (anyone can get one ) .
If you do use the account you get a discount on all of your tolls .
Then you just keep it in the pouch on your drivers door .
When they do catch you running the booth you will just get it taken out of your account with no fine .
They might catch you once out of 10 times.
They will send the fine to your company because they go off the who the plate is registered through .
If you are O/O on your own they will send you the fine and the toll . -
The plate is registered to me. I'm not going to lose any sleep over this. I don't believe they can surgically remove body parts lol and if they slap me in handcuffs at the scales I'll cross that bridge when I get to it.

They'll want your first born or tender parts on a stick. Better send 'em a couple more washers!
CondoCruiser, JPenn and postmandav Thank this. -
I think it use to be $20. I worked for a company that dodged the tolls. Anyways a so called buddy of mine told me, "Oh yeah, I run them tolls all the time in the bypass lane. I've been doing it for years".
Situations come up for one reason or another, time, empty pockets I said screw it and ran one. A week went by, nothing. A month went by, nothing. So I started running them here and there.
About 7 months later I get called into safety. So you have been running tolls booths, huh? All I could do was laugh until I got the bill. The safety guy laughed with me. They had pictures of every front license plate even though I thought I would be slick and hide between trucks going through the bypass. Caught red handed. They attached a $20 fine for each violation. I forget now but it was like a couple hundred bucks. That was my last IL toll dodging. Thanks friend!!
Yes you can pay online. I've done that too.
Moral of the story? Don't work for a cheap skate toll dodging company! -
Illinois will only send a letter after 3 violations.
MJ1657 Thanks this. -
Everytime I've got a notice for an O/O or company toll violation(in IL) it was 6-8 months later. If you pay it before the notice it's a lot cheaper. Usually takes a picture of the front and rear.

You would have gotten a letter with toll due + fine by now if they were gonna do anything. Ask me how I know (-;
