    The placards. You had #8 generic but no UN number on them? I thought only bulk needed UN #. You carrying totes? Tanker trailer?

    That hasn't been true since 2013. If you only have one type of hazmat on the trailer and you have over 8820 lbs of it then you need bulk placards regardless of the container sizes. I've had several shippers argue with me about needing bulk placards for a load of 55 gallon drums, but yes they are needed.


    OP:
    The first trailer violation is for a missing or incorrect placard, but is the second for an incorrectly labeled package? Did they open the trailer and inspect inside? What kind of securement did you have?
